Argentinos Juniors are in urgent need of a win when they host Tigre this Sunday, October 4th. Pablo Guede's side has gone five league matches without a victory, registering three draws and two losses.
The most recent defeat was a 1-0 loss to Rosario Central on September 20th. That result is part of a tough run that includes draws with Gimnasia, Barracas Central, and Lanús. Their only recent win was a 2-1 result against Aldosivi in late August.
Match Preview
The game will be played at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. The coaching staff has been working on adjustments during the two-week break.
Striker Gastón Verón, who scored in the 1-1 draw with Gimnasia, will be a key piece in attack. The team has shown defensive solidity at times but has struggled to be decisive in the final third. The full squad available for this fixture is listed on our squad page.
Manager Pablo Guede has worked with the group all week. He will be looking for options to add more dynamism to the midfield. The match against Tigre presents a perfect opportunity to end the poor run and regain confidence ahead of the next round. The Bicho's next appointment is Saturday at home.
